Returning a vertical to factory settings.
Localized issues can weigh down the entire organization. We can do something about that.

One recent client is suffering through organizational politics as they try to salvage their ship. Prospective partners are unwilling to sign as a consequence of lack of Quality Management System. There are organizations that suffer not because of the presence of dysfunction but because of the lack of a mature performance tracking system. This is typically indicative of a larger, systemic issue.
By applying systems & quality principles to the operations of a business, we can dig deep enough to understand causality of organizational challenges insofar that we can do something about it. Once we know that an issue stems from leadership, process maturity, Open Seas will be prepared to offer a piece of our complementary array of services. From behavioral coaching (see Coaching & Speaking tab) for the front-line or for executives, we have the knowledge base to turn ships around.
What can we do today?
The key is performing root cause on other departments. Understanding what is going right throughout the rest of the organization gives us an idea of what the top of our capabilities are. From here, we can apply good habits to the department in question to move from a vicious cycle to a virtuous cycle.

What is your process?
Our founder Steven touches on the four essential nautical elements that guide our Narrative Yellow Belt program. We focus on what is of critical importance to you on your journey, as we begin to inspect and architect your infrastructure.
We go beyond the call of duty to effectively solve what is harming your organization today. Sometimes you need an outside hand.
OSC's Essential Nautical Elements
Our process is all about you. We are here to understand your drivers, resistance in order to build your strategic vision. The undercurrent to our training is the concept of Emergent Flow; it means that a system is meant to obtain precisely what results it is obtaining. Often, our work requires us to change the system itself.

Anchor
What do our actions — not just our intentions — reveal about our true priorities?
The Anchor represents what we genuinely value, both at the individual level and across the organization.

Drag
Where are we encountering resistance — not just externally, but from within?
Drag captures the unseen forces, habits, or assumptions that slow us down or pull us off course.
Hull
What systems, structures, or processes support our journey — and which ones are holding us back?
The Hull reflects the integrity of our foundation and our capacity to move forward effectively.

Rudder
Where are we really headed — and who’s steering?
The Rudder points to the clarity (or confusion) in our direction, guiding how aligned we are with our goals, strategy, and shared purpose.
